The Telangana government disclosed two new policies focusing on e-waste.

Telangana proposes a new IoT policy designed to attract investments and create employment for over 50,000 people in the next 5 years.

Telangana’s new e-waste policy also calls for earmarking industrial space in three districts for dismantling and recycling the e-waste in already existing industrial parks.

Industries minister KT Rama Rao said, “We aim to develop world-class infrastructure to promote the development of IoT products and IoT-based solutions. Hence, we will create five zones each in Hyderabad, Warangal and Sricilla districts for deployment of points of contact (PoCs) in the IoT space.”
