The board of directors of the Construction & Demolition Recycling Association (CDRA) named industry veteran Terri Ward as its executive director and chief executive officer.
Ward had been acting as a special advisor to the board’s executive committee and assumed her new role immediately.
“We are thrilled to have someone with Terri’s passion for the industry and knowledge of the materials, markets, processing technology and legislative and regulatory environment take the helm of CDRA” comments Jason Haus, CDRA president. Ward brings more than 30 years of industry experience to her role.
Ward has been an active member of the association for years and has held a range of volunteer roles, most recently serving on the board as a member-at-large and member of the executive committee, and chair of the convention committee. Throughout her career she has provided consulting services to the waste, recycling and environmental services industry as well as represented technology and machinery suppliers to the industry.
“With the growing importance of sustainability and materials circularity combined with the realization that recycling plays a pivotal role in creating and completing that circularity, it’s an exciting time for the industry. I’m thrilled to step into this role and to collaborate with our members and board to extend and amplify the role CDRA plays and the resources we bring to our community” said Ward.
