Adesa, a business unit of global vehicle remarketing and technology solutions provider KAR Auction Services, Inc., named new general managers at two auction locations in the Central Region.
Kevin Stumm has been appointed general manager of Adesa Des Moines, and Jeff Brinkley will lead Adesa Salt Lake. Each brings decades of auction industry experience and will help advance Adesa’s customer-focused strategies.
Stumm’s experience in the industry stretches back to 2003, when he became the general manager of Wisconsin Auto Auction. He later founded VinFocused, a consultative service provider for large to small automotive dealerships. He has also held director or manager roles at Lee Enterprises, CarSoup.com and Autotrader.com.
Brinkley started his career in the auto auction industry in 1985 at the former Indianapolis Auto Auction, which later became Adesa Indianapolis. He served as assistant general manager at Adesa Indianapolis from 2001 to 2016, as assistant general manager at Adesa Orlando from 2016 to 2018, and has spent the past year as assistant general manager at Adesa Salt Lake. He had previously served as assistant general manager at Greater Nevada Auto Auction and general manager of the former Adesa Southern Indiana.
Rob Brasher, the previous general manager of Adesa Salt Lake, has decided to reduce his role at the auction to allow more time for family and other interests. He will continue to represent Adesa Salt Lake in a sales leadership position.
