Braidy Atlas announced the creation of a milestone plan for cooperation with the BMW Group on sustainability and technical/qualification for the future supply of series 5000x and 6000x automotive aluminum sheet. Included is a comprehensive closed-loop recycling strategy leveraging Braidy Atlas’ logistically optimal location in Ashland, Kentucky and in close proximity to BMW´s car production plant in Spartanburg, South Carolina.
Braidy Atlas recently announced its intention to become the first North American rolling mill to use 100 percent green inputs from inception. As the first U.S. rolling mill to obtain a low emissions air permit from the Federal EPA, Braidy has targeted 20 percent lower emissions than competitors.
