Johnston succeeds Dennis Lux, who has led the company for four decades and will continue serving as CEO Emeritus, providing strategic guidance and continuity. Dan Lueck continues in his role as head of engineering, leading the design and development of Remcon’s custom equipment solutions.
Since entering the recycling equipment industry in 1977 and incorporating as Remcon Equipment in 1991, the company has built a reputation for designing and manufacturing heavy-duty conveyor systems and material handling equipment for recycling facilities, material recovery facilities (MRFs), and OEM customers across North America.
Despite operating with a team of just seven employees, Remcon has completed more than 1,500 custom systems throughout its history. Since 1998, the company has also built more than 150 high-speed optical sorting conveyors, supporting the industry’s continued adoption of advanced automated sorting technologies.
