The RMAA will create federal standards for recycled content claims. The bill is intended to establish clearer, more consistent standards for companies making claims that products contain recycled material. This bill focuses primarily on plastics.
These proposal bills will give consumers more reliable information and manufacturers greater certainty. Together, they strengthen recycling markets and encourage investment in recycling and domestic manufacturing.
