Production in regions outside of Japan experienced a year-on-year increase for the fourth consecutive month (since April 2018), setting record high production for the month of July. This includes record high production for the month of July in Asia and China.
Worldwide production experienced a year-on-year increase for the fourth consecutive month (since April 2018), also setting record high production for the month of July. Total domestic automobile sales in the Japanese market for the month of July 2018 experienced a year-on-year increase for the sixth consecutive month (since February 2018).
New vehicle registrations experienced a year-on-year decrease for the first time in three months (since April 2018). Sales of mini-vehicles experienced a year-on-year increase for the sixth consecutive month (since February 2018). FIT was the industry’s sixth best-selling car among new vehicle registrations for the month of July 2018 with sales of 9,144 units.
Total exports from Japan in July 2018 experienced a year-on-year increase for the seventh consecutive month (since January 2018).
