Meridian Waste acquires Carolina Waste Services

Meridian Waste North Carolina LLC, an integrated, non-hazardous solid waste services company, has announced the acquisition of Carolina Waste Services, Inc., also known as Carolina Waste. The asset purchase includes residential and roll off collection vehicles, containers, and contracts located in Moore, Chatham, and Lee Counties, North Carolina The assets and services will be relocated to Meridian Waste’s existing hauling company at 13415 US-421 North in Goldston, NC. Operational staff will transition to Meridian Waste.

“Starting the second quarter of 2024 with the acquisition of Carolina Waste’s quality assets and team members is a great opportunity for Meridian Waste as we grow our footprint in the Triad region of North Carolina,” said Charlie Gray, Meridian Waste’s vice president of operations. “The acquisition will create a solid entrance into the residential line of business which has been limited until now in Meridian Waste’s North Carolina operations,” he said. “Building upon the initial base of residential operations will bring further growth and opportunities in the Triad and Triangle regions of the state as we welcome our new customers and Carolina Waste employees into the Meridian Waste family.”
