NWRA Women’s Council awards $50,000 in scholarships

The National Waste & Recycling Association (NWRA) Women’s Council announced its 10 scholarship recipients for 2024:

  • Amanda Curtis – American Waste Control
  • Carys Dubinski – For Good Environmental LLC
  • Madeline Pellitteri – Waste Systems
  • Meilin Tsao – County of Marin
  • Phoenix Hughes – Casella Waste Systems
  • Laurin Wood – Casella Waste Systems
  • Crystal Moore – Waste Connections
  • Daniella Falletta – Mazza Recycling
  • Haley Nolde – Nebraska Recycling Council
  • Alexandra Hutchins – Casella Waste System

In 2007, the NWRA Women’s Council established an educational scholarship program to assist qualified individuals in pursuing an education that will lead to productive careers in the waste and recycling industry. All NWRA member company employees and their dependents are eligible to apply.
The Detachable Container Association (DCA) partnered with NWRA’s Women’s Council to announce that this year’s Mickey & Ellen Flood Scholarship recipient is Alyssa Berry of Waste Connections.
