SWACO accepting waste reduction grant applications

The Solid Waste Authority of Central Ohio (SWACOA) is now accepting applications for the 2027 Community Waste Reduction Grant (CWRG) cycle and applicants could get up to $50,000 to help your organization meet its sustainability goals and cut waste in their communities.

Eligible applicants include local governments and nonprofit organizations including cities, townships, villages, parks, K-12 schools, colleges, universities, hospitals and faith-based organizations.

Projects must take place within the SWACO jurisdiction, and applicants are strongly encouraged to contact the SWACO Grants Administrator before drafting an application. Applications are currently open and are due before August 7, 2026 at 5:00 p.m.
