WM announced the opening of a state-of-the-art construction & demolition (C&D) recycling facility in Orlando, Florida, reinforcing its commitment to sustainability and advancing circular economy solutions in Central Florida.
The new facility is designed to process a wide range of construction and demolition materials, including wood, metal, drywall, concrete and cardboard. By diverting these materials from landfills, the site will play a critical role in reducing environmental impact while supporting the region’s continued growth and development.
Equipped with advanced sorting technology, the Orlando C&D recycling facility will maximize material recovery rates and improve processing efficiency. The site is expected to handle thousands of tons of debris annually, turning discarded materials into valuable resources for reuse in new construction and manufacturing applications.
The opening of the Orlando facility aligns with WM’s broader sustainability goals, including increasing recycling capacity by 2.8 million tons annually and reducing greenhouse gas emissions across its operations.
